That river will impact others around us and reflect the goodness of God. An abundant life is one that never runs out. When walking in the abundant life, we can freely give to anyone in need, knowing that we won&#8217;t run out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How do we walk in this life? First we must be born again. When we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit comes into our hearts and seals us as the Lord&#8217;s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Secondly, all three parts of our being (spirit, soul and body) need to be aligned with God and His Word. We cannot live the abundant life only with our spirit and body &#8211; our soul must be part of the abundant life. Our souls cannot conform to this world but must instead be transformed. We must present ourselves as living sacrifices to God. This means that at times we have to say no to our fleshly desires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Spirit of God dwelling in us yields fruit on our lives. Fruit trees do not decide what kind of fruit to bear. It is in the DNA of the tree. Likewise, we cannot consciously choose to bring forth the fruit of the Spirit. This can only come by the Holy Spirit working in us.
